Kersti Gräntz (former Kersti Dahlkvist) was born 1986 in Stockholm. After recently finished studies in Stockholm and Italy, Kersti has now Sweden and rest of Europe as her field. With Dahlkvist Quartet but also as a soloist and chamber musician in different occasions.
Brought up in a family of musicians, Kersti started singing, playing violin and piano just a few years old. Immediately after high school she had her graduate studies at Royal College of Music in Stockholm and following master studies at the chamber music program at Edsberg Castle/Royal College of Music. Her professors has been Marika Fältskog, Henryk Kowalski, Per Enoksson and in chamber music Mats Zetterqvist. After finishing Master´s Degree year 2010, Kersti studied in Italy at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. Her professors were Pavel Vernikov and Svetlana Makarova.
Other teachers which have been of great significance for Kersti are Serguei Azizian, Zakhar Bron, Mihaela Martin and Massimo Quarta. During her studying years she has returned many times to Aurora Chamber Music Aademy (Sweden) and Quatour Ysayë´s master classes in Flaine(France).
Kersti plays on a violin built by Fabio Piagentini 2011 in Lucca, Italy as well as a Giuseppe Fiorini from 1923 on loan from the Järnåker Foundation.
